Barrack Obama and the Bradley Effect Test: Are Americans Smart or Shallow?
There’s a lot of talk going around about the Bradley Effect and whether or not it’s going to be a primary influence on the election about to take place in the United States. In short, what this means is that people may not vote for Barrack Obama simply because he’s not white. The fact that the voter may agree with Obama on issues is irrelevant because those who will vote simply on skin color basis would prefer to have their country run into the ground rather than put an African American in the White House. Note this isn’t about republicans who will vote republican, but democrats who will vote against their own party specifically because of their racist ideas.
I don’t understand this intolerant mentality at all. If something in my house is broken, I don’t care what color you are, I don’t care what your religious beliefs are, and I don’t care whether you like guys, girls or sheep – if you can fix what’s broken in my home better than anyone else, then you’re the person who’s going to get my money. Likewise, if you have integrity and are capable of building a country I can be proud to live in, you get my vote.
Many of the racist people I’ve seen in the media spouting off about the possibility of a black man moving into the White House seem to think it would be unpatriotic to do so. Did these people finish school, or were they drop outs? The patriotic thing is to vote for someone you think will do a good job as Commander in Chief, and if that means you wrestle with your petty prejudices in order to put the cross in the right box, wrestle away – but make sure you do the right thing for the country you profess to love on election day!

I was reading that this morning (I get around! LOL) I hope he’s right and that people are smarter than the media is giving them credit for. I’m not altogether convinced that the whole dredge up the Bradley affair thing isn’t yet another tactic by the repubs to try and influence the election ….as if they would! I’ve seen a few TV interviews with people who have said that they won’t vote for Obama simply because he’s not white. Of course you don’t know if those were the ONLY people they interviewed with that opinion, journalism is so “selective” to it’s bias.
